Obituary for Dorothy Ruth McMahon

Palmer - Dorothy R. (Sullivan) McMahon , 85, died on February 26 in Palmer. Born February 4, 1933 in Belchertown , she was the daughter of John and Edorina (Deslauriers) Sullivan. She has lived in Palmer all of her life.

She will be deeply missed by 8 children, Norman of Monson, Michael of Three Rivers, Anne of Northampton, Patricia of Monson, Diane of Palmer, Shannon Chaffee (William) of Ware, Doreen with whom she lived, Kathleen Voiland of Gilbertville, along with 22 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Walter, son, John, grandson Joshua Voiland and 4 siblings.

A Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 12:00 p.m. in St. Thomas Church. Burial will be in the spring. Calling hours will be from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. To honor her memory, please make donations to Make a Wish.
